DAN-FENDER IN BRIEF

Danish fenders since 1982

Dan-Fender has made fenders and buoys since 1982. The company is part of the Danish dan hill plast a/s group, a producer of technical plastics since 1957. All Dan-Fender products are made in the company’s own factory in Denmark.

Fenders and buoys are rotationally moulded, with solid injection-moulded rope eyes. Smaller items have a replaceable metal valve and the largest use Dan-Fender’s own Heavy Duty valve. The same products are used on leisure boats as well as in marinas, on fishing vessels, work boats and naval craft.

Marine Import Oy is the official Dan-Fender distributor in Finland. We keep the most common products in stock in Luvia, and stock items ship in 1–3 business days. We also deliver to business customers in the Baltics, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Poland.

This table is based on Dan-Fender’s own size recommendations. Boat length is given in feet; metres are approximate.

A heavy boat or an exposed, choppy berth may need a larger fender than recommended. When in doubt, go one size up.

QUALITY

Made in Denmark, leak-tested one by one

Dan-Fender makes all of its products in a single factory in Denmark. Every rotationally moulded product is leak-tested in a water tank before packing. The parent company dan hill plast a/s is certified to ISO 9001:2015.

Products carry a 2-year warranty against manufacturing faults under normal, intended use. The warranty does not cover damage from incorrect inflation, cuts, punctures or chemicals. Don’t inflate fenders rock-hard: the manufacturer advises that you should be able to press a small dent in with a finger.

FAQ

Questions about Dan-Fender

Who is the Dan-Fender distributor in Finland?

Marine Import Oy is the official Dan-Fender distributor in Finland. Our warehouse is in Luvia, Eurajoki, and consumers can buy Dan-Fender products from our Captains Shop online store.

How many fenders does a boat need?

Most boats need at least three fenders on each side. Choose the size by the boat’s length and weight – see the sizing guide above.

How hard should a fender be inflated?

Not rock-hard. Dan-Fender advises that you should be able to press a small dent in with a finger. Over-inflation stretches the fender, especially in hot weather, and shortens its life.

Can the fender valve be replaced?

Yes. Smaller Dan-Fender products have a replaceable metal valve. Spare valves, plugs and hand pumps are available from Captains Shop and from us at trade prices.

Do you deliver Dan-Fender products outside Finland?

Yes. Besides Finland, we deliver to business customers in the Baltics, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Poland. Request a quote and we will confirm delivery time and cost.
