Optiparts Marine Equipment was founded in 1990 and is based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Its very first catalogue covered equipment for school and racing Optimists, and the Optimist remains its core product. Optiparts products are exported to more than 80 countries.
Optiparts produces and assembles most of its products in its own factory in the Netherlands, including spars, trolleys, tiller extensions and buoyancy bags. The range covers the whole boat, from beginner school rigs to the Blackgold racing rig. Spare parts are sold individually, so an older boat can be kept in service without replacing everything at once.
Marine Import Oy is the official Optiparts distributor in Finland. We keep the most common products in stock at our warehouse in Luvia, and stock items ship within 1–3 working days. We also deliver to business customers in the Baltics, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Poland.

Optiparts designs and manufactures its own products in the Netherlands. According to the manufacturer, its Optimist racing foils and buoyancy bags are made to the IODA class rules, and the Blackgold rig has been chosen as the official charter rig at several IODA World and continental championships.
School equipment is designed for durability and easy maintenance. The buoyancy bag fabric is treated against colour fading and hydrolysis, and the anodised trolley frame resists corrosion.

School spars are made of standard aluminium and built to withstand course and club use. Blackgold racing spars are hard-anodised 7075 aluminium, which makes them stiffer and more durable. A racing mast also has a halyard hook-in block and a wind indicator fitting.
The manufacturer recommends the Power mast for sailors above 45 kg. Medium and Lite are more flexible and suit lighter sailors. The final choice is best made together with a coach.
Yes. Wheels, bushings, spring clips, supports and belts are sold separately. All parts use spring locking, so the trolley can be taken apart in seconds for storage and transport.
