Snappy is a product line of Star brite Distributing in the United States. Star brite has developed and manufactured maintenance and care products since 1973, with headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and manufacturing in Montgomery, Alabama.
The best-known product is Snappy Teak-Nu. The two-step treatment removes greying and stains from teak without heavy scrubbing, and according to the manufacturer it does not soften deck seams. After cleaning, Snappy Teak Oil protects the wood. The range also includes a polish, hull and waterline cleaners and a fabric waterproofer.

Teak care is done in steps. Apply Teak-Nu Formula No. 1 to the wet deck and scrub lightly once the surface has darkened evenly. Then apply Formula No. 2 and rinse. Protect the dry teak with Snappy Teak Oil, and reapply at the first signs of greying.
Polish only clean surfaces: wash the hull, apply Premium Marine Polish with a cloth in circular motions and wipe off the dried haze. Wear protective gloves and read the safety data sheet before use. Safety data sheets are available on the manufacturer’s website.

Yes. The manufacturer states that Formula No. 1 should be used with Formula No. 2 for the best result. The first step loosens dirt and greying, and the second completes the cleaning.
Once the deck is clean and dry. Apply Snappy Teak Oil along the grain and wipe off the excess after about five minutes. Give porous wood a second coat, and reapply when the wood starts to turn grey.
Gelcoat, metal, acrylic and painted surfaces. Wash the surface before polishing. For heavily oxidised surfaces the manufacturer recommends a separate cleaner wax first.
